ABI KELLY
Director of International Engagement and External Relations
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, is an
independent, not-for-profit institution which is wholly focused on education,
research and engagement which will improve human health. Over 60% of our
students are international and we have branch campuses in Bahrain and Malaysia.
Our research collaborations and strategic partnerships extend across the globe. RCSI is also the national training body for surgeons in
Ireland.
As
Director of International Engagement and External Relations at Ireland’s largest
and most internationally diverse health sciences universities, I have
particular knowledge of medical education, curriculum innovation and student
engagement in the global context. I am the lead on our European University
Alliance and mobility partnerships through Erasmus +
With
responsibility for Equality Diversity and Inclusion; Public Engagement; and
Sustainability and Climate Health I have experience of embedding these
strategic priorities within UG and PG education programmes and the student
experience. Internationally, I am a member of Advance HE’s Global
Perspectives Strategic Advisory Group.
Prior
to joining RCSI, I was Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at Newcastle
University in the UK.
