Develops research in the field of pharmacology to identify new therapeutic targets for the treatment of pain (specially orofacial pain); pharmacological screening for analysis of compounds with activity in the central nervous system. In addition, it carries out standardization studies of experimental models in adult zebrafish.
Pharmacist. Master, Doctorate and Post-Doctorate in Pharmacology (Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil).
Advises undergraduate, master's and doctoral students and supervises post-doctoral internships. Periodically contributes to various funding agencies and scientific journals with national and international circulation.
It has been the recipient of a research productivity grant from the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) since 2012.
Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ceará.
Currently is a Full Professor at the University of Fortaleza.
