Dr. Anita Rao Mysore is an associate professor at the School of Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Central Campus, Bengaluru, India. She has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Multicultural Education, from the University of Arkansas, USA, and, an M.Ed. degree from Regional College (now, Institute) of Education, NCERT, Mysuru, India, majoring in Educational Technology. In her 30+ years as a professional, she has been a Senior Faculty at Indus Training & Research Institute in Bengaluru, India; an assistant professor, Teacher Education Department at University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Kenosha, WI; and, a research assistant at the University of Arkansas, USA. She began her career as a research assistant in cultural psychology, working out of Mysuru City, India, for the research projects of Yale University and University of Michigan, USA respectively. Her book, Narratives of South Asian and South Asian American Social Justice Educators was published in May 2022. She serves on several departmental and university committees and as a reviewer for the journal, Action in Teacher Education.
