Prof. Atul Khosla (Age 52) is a career researcher, academician, and management consultant, and a global expert in the areas of strategy, policy, innovation, organization design, and outsourcing.   In his 25-plus years of professional experience, Prof. Khosla has led the research, academic and consulting assignments with leading organizations including top academic and research institutions, national regulators and global corporates in Asia, Europe, America and Australia.

 Prof. Khosla joined Shoolini University in 2011 as a Professor of Management Sciences and subsequently got promoted to Dean of the Faculty and thereafter in 2014 as Pro Vice Chancellor of the University. Prof Atul took over as Vice Chancellor of Shoolini University in October 2021.  Prior to Shoolini, Prof. Khosla held senior positions in research and consulting with McKinsey and Company (the world’s leading consulting and research company), Everest Research Institute (world’s leading outsourcing and research thinktank), and Oliver Wyman (leading international research consultancy).

 Prof. Khosla has authored and led several important research assignments of national importance – examples include regulatory benchmarking and strategy for the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), new banking risk norms for Indian banks for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Technology Education benchmarking and strategy for IITs for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), post Gujarat Earthquake planning and strategy for the America India Foundation (AIF) in association with the Government of Gujarat, IT and BPO benchmarking and strategy for NASSCOM,  and benchmarking research and India strategy for the Textile Promotion Council of India (TEXPROCIL). Prof Khosla’s work for the PMO focused on developing a roadmap for Technology Education in India and was presented to the Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Prof. Khosla’s research report on SEBI’s regulatory strategy and re-organization was presented to the Finance Minister of India and India’s Chief Economic Advisor.

 

As a consultant and researcher, Prof. Khosla has also advised the CEO’s and Boards of leading global companies such as Syngenta, Credit Suisse, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Reliance, IFC, World Gold Council, Merrill Lynch, ANZ, Unilever, Swiss Re, Marsh and McLennan, etc.

 Prof Khosla is/ has also been Independent Director with Gabriel India Ltd., Senior Advisor to Ankur Capital (India’s leading social VC fund), advisor to SEBI Chairman (India’s Security Regulator), advisor to the Global Board of MMC, and advisor to Global management of Swiss Re, among others.  In addition, he is a nominated member of CII’s State Council, CII’s Northern Regional Committee on Life Sciences and CII’s Northern Regional Committee on Education, regional Vice Co-Chair of ASSOCHAM National Education Council (Northern Chapter). Prof. Khosla is also nominated by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh as member of State level Task Force for the implementation of NEP, 2020 Himachal Pradesh.

 Prof. Khosla is a regular speaker at several Indian and global Universities and Business Schools including IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Kanpur, ISB, University College London, JBIMS, MDI, etc. As a motivational speaker during COVID, Prof. has co-hosted more than 150 webinars with luminaries and experts such as Anupam Kher, Yuvraj Singh, Kiran Bedi, Dinesh Singh, Vivek Atray, Shafkat Amanat Ali, Naren Chirmule, among others.

 Prof. Khosla is highly qualified with a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and MBA from JBIMS, University of Mumbai, India.
