Gabor Sarlos is an Associate Professor and Head of Student Success at the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Roehampton. In this capacity he oversees systems, processes and actions securing above-threshold graduate outcomes. His academic and professional background is in the field of Strategic Communications and Marketing Communications. Before joining Roehampton in 2019, he was Senior Programme Manager of the BA in Professional Communication programme at RMIT University Vietnam. Earlier, he had various teaching roles in Budapest, Hungary, the University of Wolverhampton and at the Worcester Business School. Gabor has an MSc in Economics from Corvinus University and a PhD in Sociology from Eotvos Lorand University of Sciences, Budapest.

 

His professional career covers the foundation and management of his award-winning strategic consultancy firm, Pepper 21. Over two decades, he oversaw the development and execution of full range communication campaigns for corporates, governments and NGOs in the field of crisis management, risk awareness, sustainability, customer loyalty, food security and technology across a several countries in Europe. Gabor worked with company managements to develop and run executive training programmes in the field of crisis communication, media appearance and public speaking. 

 

His academic and professional interests are in the public perception of energy scenarios and climate change, risk and crisis management, environmental awareness as well as the development of sustainability communication models that suit academic and professional needs.
