Jesús Meza boasts over 30 years of professional experience in education and strategic communication consulting. His extensive career includes overseeing transformative educational initiatives and leading culturally significant events. As a seasoned strategic communication expert, he has authored books, research articles, and taught internationally. He's advised numerous organizations on corporate identity and communication, earning awards in Mexico and Latin America for his dedication to education. Holding a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with two master's degrees from Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), Jesús Meza is a seasoned professional excelling in leadership, communication, and education, driving positive change in these domains.

Dr. Jesús Meza Lueza boasts a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the fields of Strategic Communication, Identity, and Institutional Image. He has made significant contributions to education and leadership, including his role as Regional Dean of the School of Humanities and Education at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he served in both the West and North regions of the country.

 

Innovation has been a hallmark of Dr. Meza's career. He founded and spearheaded the pioneering e-Portfolio Institutional Project in Latin America in 2003. His contributions have been celebrated through various awards. His exceptional dedication led to the Kappa Tau Alpha distinction from the National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication in the United States in 2002, and he received the National Prize for Educational Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1988. Dr. Meza's remarkable academic journey has also been commemorated among the "Professors who leave their mark" during the 70th and 75th anniversaries of Tecnológico de Monterrey.


Dr. Meza earned his Doctorate in Mass Communication from the prestigious University of North Carolina in the United States. He also holds two Master's degrees, one in Specialized Journalism and another in Administration, complementing his Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences. His academic journey has been marked by a commitment to educational innovation within the creative industries, making him a university professor since 1990.

 

As a prolific author, Dr. Meza has penned three books focused on strategic communication and organizational identity, in addition to co-authoring three books with themes rooted in humanism and education. His scholarly influence extends across the academic landscape, where he has contributed numerous book chapters.

 

At the international level, he held the position of President of the InterAmericas Council (IAC) and Vice President for Latin American Affairs of the American Communication Association (ACA). Dr. Meza's global reach includes the presentation of refereed research and conferences in several countries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

 

Notably, in 2001, he was selected by the School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina to attend the World Bank's Consultation Meeting on the Role of the Media in Development. His commitment to education in Latin America earned him an Honoris Causa Doctorate in Colombia. In 2018, Ashoka U recognized him as a Changemaker Leader for his profound impact on education, fostering transformative student leadership.

 

Beyond academia, Dr. Meza has been a sought-after consultant since 1990, directing, advising, and guiding a myriad of projects in organizational communication, institutional identity, corporate image, public relations, and strategic communication. His esteemed clients include the Electoral Tribunals of Panama and Honduras, the Electoral Tribunal of the Power of the Federation of Mexico, Kellogg México, MABE Organization, Black and Decker México, Grupo IXE, 3M México, NAFIN, MASISA, and the Mexico-European Union Business Center, among numerous others.
