Currently, Professor Jolly Jacob holds the position of the Chair of the Department of Applied Sciences at Abu Dhabi University and is an accomplished Professor of Chemistry. She joined Abu Dhabi University in AY 2009-10, and her experience includes teaching at the University level at various international Universities for 32 years. This includes 15 years as the Head of the Department of Chemistry and the Chair of the Department of Applied Sciences at Abu Dhabi University. Dr.Jolly has achieved several measurable accomplishments in academic development, academic quality, and Portfolio Planning and student experience. Having earned a Ph.D.in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, she has an outstanding academic career. She has attained B.Sc. (Chemistry) and M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) degrees and won the University gold medal in her M.Phil. Degree. Prof.Jolly has published more than 95 research papers in several peer-reviewed international journals with high impact factors, including Nature Communications, covering Chemistry, Materials, and multidisciplinary aspects of Environmental Science. She is a Board Member and Chair of the Advisory Board of the American Chemical Society, UAE Chapter. She is also a member of the Editorial Board and Organizing Committee of various International Conferences, and a Fellow of the International Congress of Chemistry and Environment. She serves as a reviewer for a number of high-impact international journals. She has attended and presented research papers at more than 40 national and international conferences. Dr. Jolly was awarded the Middle East Education Leadership Awards 2016 for the Best Professor of Chemistry. She received Excellence Awards in Teaching, Research, and Services, and the Distinguished Faculty Award from Abu Dhabi University. She also received the Women Excellence Award for her outstanding contributions in Pharma and Allied Science (2018). Dr.Jolly received both University Research Award and the College Research Award of AY 2020-21. Awarded the Women Scientist award at the national conference in 2K-22. Her research interests are in Synthesis and Characterization of Advanced Materials, Thin Films, and Antioxidant Studies. Moreover, Dr. She is rated as the Best Scientist in Natural and Chemical Sciences in ADU as per the AD Scientific Index 2023. Professor Jolly is a proud recipient of the UAE Golden Visa.
