Dr. Jorge Membrillo-Hernández is a researcher at the Institute for the Future of Education at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, he has published 92 articles indexed in SCOPUS with an h index of 23 and more than 2000 citations. He is editor of the journals Education Sciences and Frontiers in Education. He was also one of the editors of the Emerald Handbook of Challenge Based Learning. His research lines are Socially-Oriented Interdisciplinary STEM education, Challenge-based Learning, Skills for the future, Sustainability as a competence and COIL (Collaborative On-line Learning Classroom). He is very interested in the Engagement phase of the student during a learning process and has developed products using extended reality to increase engagement.
