Research Interests: Intelligence Quotient, Scholastic Achievements, Social Developments, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management.

 

Lajwanti has been a faculty with the Department of Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) where she has handled courses like Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Advanced Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Mind Cognition & Neuroscience. She has the experience of handling both Undergraduates and Postgraduates. Lajwanti has worked on social projects with NGO’s in Bangalore as a volunteer implant from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Studies.

Lajwanti’s Doctral research encompasses working on the developing mind through cognitive stimulation which would enhance the capability of the mind that would help in building an enhanced intelligence quotient thereby helping children in a higher scholastic achievement. Her past interest included an exploratory studyon the Influence of Resilience and Self Esteem among students and the study was done among students in Chennai. Her current research interest focuses on the Role of Personality and SES in Interpersonal Attraction among Friends, for which she has developed a tool “Value for Interpersonal Relation”which on completion will be submitted for copyright for use.  She intends to do an additional research on implicit cognition and its application to improve decision making and organization policies.

Lajwanti is a state rank holder, both in her Graduation & Post Graduation in Psychology (Counselling) and she also has completed a curriculum on Design Thinking from Stanford University. Parallel to her doctoral program she has completed her Masters from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode with a specialization in Human Resource & Strategy. Lajwanti is an Independent Director from Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. She is also a corporate trainer and has been a part of Leadership Development Programs.

Post a formidable stint in customer engagement in the Banking Industry, I grew to realize my passion for teaching, counselling & training. Pursued a Post Graduate curriculum in Counselling, an MBA from IIMK to strengthen my skills completed a PDP in Design Thinking from Stanford University.
