Dr. Philip Ermita is a Professional Industrial Engineer and ASEAN Engineer registered and currently working as an Associate Professor, Chief for Technology Business, and Incubation Center at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Sta Mesa, Manila. Dr. Ermita also serves as the program chair for the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (MSIE) and Graduate Diploma in Project Management at the Graduate School of PUP. 

From 2015 to 2021, Dr. Ermita worked as the Dean of the College of Engineering of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Calamba, Campus. From 2010 to 2015, Dr. Ermita served as Assistant Professor and Associate Dean, in the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology of De La Salle University Dasmarinas, Cavite. From 2005-2010, He worked in different manufacturing industries such as ceramics and electronics manufacturing companies.

 

While working in the academe, Dr. Ermita also serves as a consultant and trainer in several manufacturing and service industries and government agencies in the Philippines. He earned his Doctorate degree in Engineering Management and Master of Engineering Major in Industrial Engineering at Nueva Ecija University Science and Technology and Adamson University respectively. He also obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Diploma in Business Administration from De La Salle University - Dasmarinas, Cavite.

 

Underlying all of his work to uplift the standards of Engineering Education, Dr. Ermita is an active researcher, evaluator, peer reviewer, and active participant in different scholarly events, journal publications, conferences, and symposiums. Dr. Ermita is also an Accreditor and Evaluator of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities- Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) and the Philippine Technological Council (PTC).
