With more than 20 years of academic and research experience along with 05 years of Industrial experience, he has gathered expertise in drug repurposing, identification and screening of new leads (drugs) for the management of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. He has to his credit 07 patents which include 1 US and 1 European patent, more than 200 Google Scholar articles (h-index: 27; i-10-index: 73) and 160 Scopus Indexed articles. Presently he is supervising PhD work of 08 research scholars and more than 20 PhD scholars have been awarded PhD under his direct supervision. Besides, he has guided 52 PG dissertations. His team is providing consultancy to the Industry and recently his team has received a consultancy project entitled “Pharmacological evaluation of topical formulation for the effective treatment of skin disorders in rats” from Emami Pharmaceutical Ltd”.  He had been a Co-PI in MHRD; GoI sponsored Centre of Excellence in Water and Energy and has successfully executed ICMR project entitled “Pharmacophore Design, Database Mining and Biological Evaluation of Anti-malarial Compounds”. He has collaboration/MoU with many reputed research organizations/Pharmaceutical Companies like Zydus Life Sciences, NIPER-R, CSIR-CDRI, LLRM Medical College etc. He is chairperson of Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals, GoI) and also an Assessor of NAAC and Pharmacy Council of India with responsibility of evaluating the quality of teaching, infrastructure and research at various institutions across India. He is life member of Indian Science Congress Association. He has established an in-silico lab, animal house facility and preclinical lab for conducting screening of various herbal/synthetic compounds for the management of various ailments viz. hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma, COPD and Inflammatory disorders. He has developed a new foundation course curriculum entitled “Human Body and Health” which is offered at University level to all the students across different disciplines. He has developed  E-content for the Pharmacy Courses employing different ICT tools to make the course content interesting for better understanding of subjects. He has provided mentorship to the students to present their ideas and innovation in innovation Challenge organized by Atal Incubation Centre supported by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog.
