Dr McGonagle-Daly is an award winning and internationally recognised strategist in global engagement and partnerships, and strategic evaluation in marketing, with senior management experience in universities in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.  At Massey University he is a member of the senior leadership team, and oversees a broad portfolio, including global engagement, transnational partnerships, sports and recreation, marketing and communications, alumni relations, student recruitment, student services, student registry, the centre for professional and continuing education, and Massey University College.  

He has a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Management Systems and Human Resources, and a postgraduate qualification in Management Systems both from the University of Waikato (NZ), has completed the Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford (UK), and holds a Professional Doctorate from London South Bank University (UK).  He has worked in both public and private sector institutions and has held board positions in a range of industries includes sports, business, community theatre and Te Rūnanga.
