Tow Leong, Tiang, received the B. Eng., the M.Sc., and the Ph.D. degree in electrical machines and drives from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, in 2009, 2012, and 2017, respectively. He is a Senior Lecturer and Executive Committee (Industrial Networking & Quality Management Coordinator) in Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). His current research interests include optimisation design of PM machine and renewable energy systems.  During his academic and research career in UniMAP, he promoted the importance of sustainability and environmental matters.  He used to incorporate the sustainability and environmental topics into the educational curriculum, promote sustainable transportation & energy efficiency, and collaborate with local communities in promoting environmental awareness.
