Dr. Hakro is a seasoned Higher Education Leader, a Principal Fellow of the UK Advance Higher Education Academy, and a Chartered Manager of Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK. Dr. Hakro has MS/MAS, Ph.D., and post-doctoral degrees in economics. Dr. Hakro is a Professor of Economics and an Associate Dean of Research and Innovation at Middle East College, Muscat, Oman. Dr. Hakro is also a Regional Security fellow of RCSS, Sri Lanka, a Fellow in International Law and Peoples Diplomacy of the University of South Wales, Australia, and a postdoctoral fellow of the University of Glasgow, UK. Dr. Hakro has experience by working with academia, government, and international organizations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Dr. Hakro has served national and international organizations such as UNDP advisor to the Kuwait government, advised USAID, Commonwealth Foundation, Central Banks, ADB, World Bank, and other national international national organizations. Dr. Hakro has worked as faculty with Quaid E Azam University, Islamabad, Glasgow University, UK, Sindh University Jamshoro, Pakistan, University of Nizwa, Oman, and Middle East College, Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Hakro has a record of scholarly publications, books, book chapters, research grants, honors, and awards.  Dr. Hakro has delivered several keynote speeches, chaired conference proceedings, served on university academic and research boards, and editorial advisory boards to several journals, and supervised, mentored, and coached many of his students and peers.
