She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Business at the University of La Coruña (Spain). She has also been a lecturer at the University of Paris IX-Dauphine (France) and the Coordinator of the Master in Banking and Finance at the University of La Coruña.

She holds a PhD degree in Economics and Business from the University of La Coruña and she was given an Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She has completed several research stages in the Universities of Paris-Dauphine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), being awarded a grant by institutions such as the UNESCO. She has participated in several European and national research projects and published several books related to financial topics. She has attended numerous International Conferences, and has published several research articles.
