Caroline Benton is currently Advisor to the President for Global Affairs of the University of Tsukuba and a professor of the university’s Institute of Business Sciences. She had been Vice President for Global Affairs and Executive Director of the university for ten and eight years, respectively, until March 2023. Her responsibilities were building global partnerships in research and education. Her research interests lie in subjective well-being, knowledge management, and global leadership. Her research projects include a 12-country study on the learning mechanism of global leadership competencies, a comparative study on global-mindedness in youth, and most recently a Japanese government-funded study on well-being and happiness in corporations.
