He holds Mohanbir Sawhney Chair on Digital Innovation and teaches courses in marketing management, sales and distribution management, services marketing, and retail management.

Debdutta has authored papers and book chapters spanning the domains of Artificial Intelligence applications in HR, Marketing and Manufacturing. Debdutta also researches on consumer behaviour in the area green consumption behaviour and has journal publications in these areas.
As the Associate Dean, he is responsible for leading the global and national accreditation standards for the School of Business, such as AACSB, EFMD, EQUIS and AMBA. Debdutta is a public speaker, trainer and coach and travels globally for these assignments. He closely works with the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the University and mentors several startups.
