Highly experienced serial entrepreneur in education, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Frequent judge in national and global competitions across multiple decades. 

Dennis Cheek since 2024 has been the Dean of the School of Entrepreneurship & Humanities (SEH) and University-wide Professor of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at Universitas Ciputra (UC), Surabaya, Indonesia. SEH works across all UC campuses and runs various programs across the entire nation of Indonesia.  He continues (since 2013) as annual Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at IESEG School of Management, Paris and Lille, France. Dennis is also a co-founder of the Journal of Entrepreneurship & Public Policy and continues serving on the editorial board and a guest editor. He has authored, contributed and/or edited over 850 publications and served on editorial or manuscript review boards for 20+ journals. He has taught in more than 20 universities in 9 nations in multiple programs and specialty areas. He is the inaugural Executive Director of the National Creativity Network (USA), been a VP at both the Ewing Marion Kauffman and the John Templeton foundations, worked in state education departments in NY and RI for 13 years, and been a global consultant. A former middle school and high school teacher in the UK, USA, and Germany, he has extensively worked and traveled in 50+ nations. Cheek earned a BA in history, BS in biology, MA in history from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, PhD in curriculum & instruction/science education, Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) and an interdisciplinary PhD in theology & technology, Durham University. He completed post-doctoral studies at the Paris School of Business. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science as well as the Royal Society of Arts and is a member of the Society of Ordained Scientists, an ecumenical religious order of scientists-clergy within the global Anglican communion.
