Dr Abhinanda Barman is currently spearheading functions as the Director, University Communications and Strategic Alliances, of University of Stirling, UAE.
She worked as the Academic Dean in Business Schools of South Africa for a decade. She was responsible for effectively managing all 5 faculties across 12 campuses of the organisation. She is an accomplished Executive Leader possessing 21 years of success stories and best practices in the field of Education and running institutions in the International Market. Focused on pursuit of large strategic transformational initiatives, time and again proven her capabilities in roles that involved project management and the creation of extraordinary client relationship management.
She holds Postgraduate Diploma in Design Thinking and Innovation, 2 master’s degrees and a PhD in Commerce and Business administration.

She also had the opportunity to be a Mentor in Mentor the Mentor program of Mercedes, South Africa. She has also presented in various other national and international platforms like Malaysia, Hongkong, Thailand, Bulgaria etc.
Dr Barman is a professional member of European Marketing and Management Association -EUMMAS, African Women in Business (AWIB). The Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa – IBASA and All India Management Association -AIMA. She is an advisory member of International Economic Development and Research Center – IEDRC, The International Association of Engineering and Management Education- IAEME.
Dr Barman is a proud mother of a 14-year-old daughter. One can find her spending her free time with her family, gardening, reading books, cooking, and staying healthy.
