Experienced Educational Leader with over 16 years in the field of Teacher Education, specializing in curriculum development, educational research, assessment of learning,  innovative pedagogy, and educational technology. Successfully launched multiple MOOCs under UNESCO's OE4BW initiative, enhancing global access to AI-driven learning strategies. As an accomplished researcher and mentor, guided Doctorate students at French universities and led an action research project sanctioned by the Indian government, aimed at improving rural education quality. Proven track record in academic leadership, having significantly contributed to curriculum planning and holding key roles in various educational committees and projects. Strong advocate for Open Education with representation at international forums such as the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia. Contributions to the field are recognized through memberships in prestigious organizations, active volunteer work in educational initiatives, and significant involvement as a resource person for national and international organizations.

Dr. Deepika Kohli is an outstanding Assistant  Professor in Teacher Education who has been teaching for more than Sixteen years at Khalsa College of Education in Amritsar, Punjab, India and Educational Consultant and Programme Leader at IBES, France.

Dr. Kohli received her Ph.D. degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and has established herself as one of today's leading curriculum developers, innovative pedagogues and educational technologists. She is focused on promoting best practices through education both inside classrooms and outside among students and teachers around the world.

She has greatly contributed in conceptualizing several MOOCs under the OE4BW initiative by UNESCO, which have substantially expanded access to school AI-based learning techniques. A renowned authority in her discipline, she has done extensive work in education research and has published papers in many international conferences.

Besides her scholastic leadership, she is actively involved in various administrative and consulting functions. For instance, she serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Inclusive Educational Research as well as acts as a reviewer for such journals as the Asian Journal of Distance Education. Similarly, she is among members of the Creative Commons Global Network who represent India and she works in close cooperation with the Open Education Resource Foundation based in New Zealand as OERu Contact person.

This is evidenced by her membership to bodies like Indian Association of Teacher Educators (IATE) and Council for Teacher Education (CTE) Punjab and Haryana chapter where she is a life member. She engages in international volunteer work through office bearerships at organizations such as Koneru Bhaskara Rao & Hemalata Human Development Foundation where she mentors and monitors virtual eLearning Internship Programs.

Dr Kohli has also been actively engaged with various governmental and academic bodies. She had led action research projects sponsored by MGNCRE within the Ministry of Education under the auspices of Government of India, aimed at promoting improvement of rural education. Moreover, as part time para-legal volunteer plus permanent member of District Court Amritsar Lok Adalat she epitomizes her zeal for social justice in legal education.

Dr Kohli has three patents that validate her commitment to innovating in education.
