With more than 40 years in higher education, Dr. Elane
Seebo is now retired and most recently served as Senior Assistant to the
President (3 years) and the Vice President of External Campuses for Wayland
Baptist University (14 years). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Technology and Training
Development (University of North Texas), an MA in Human Resource Management
(Pepperdine University), an M.Ed. (Texas Tech University) and a B.A. in English
with secondary teacher certification (Oklahoma State University). She served as
a site visitor and special reader for the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools Commission on Colleges (2003-present), as a site visitor and
Commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
(2000-present), and as an observation visitor for the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation (2019-2022). She also served as a National Visiting
Committee member for the National Science Foundation (SpaceTec project) for
over 10 years. Previous positions include associate professor of education and
business, chief academic officer for the Community College of the Air Force,
senior training administrator, chief of faculty development, chief of training
technologies plans, and chief of curriculum and training development.
Dr. Elane K. Seebo is a retired
higher education administration who most recently served as the Senior
Assistant to the President, Wayland Baptist University. In this role, Dr. Seebo advised the president on a variety of issues of
interest to senior university administration, including institutional and
programmatic accreditation, strategic and emergency planning, legal and
legislative matters, institutional research and effectiveness, program development,
military relations, and similar issues.
