Academic Leader, LIF Alumni, Innovator, and Researcher

Felizardo Reyes Jr. brings a wealth of experience to his role as Dean of the College of Computer Studies at Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City. His research interests lie in applied areas like automatic speech recognition, machine learning for image processing, and intelligent road safety systems. These projects have garnered funding from prestigious organizations such as the Philippine TUKLAS Innovation Labs, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of the Philippines, and private entities.


Dr. Reyes holds a strong academic background with degrees in BS Computer Science, Master in Engineering Management (Systems Management), Master in Information Technology, and a Doctorate in Information Technology. He recently completed an intensive program on Innovation and Technoprenuership from the DOST.


Dr. Reyes' expertise is further recognized as Alumni and Innovator distinction within the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship program of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering.  He actively participates in professional organizations like the Association for Computing Machinery (US), National Research Council of the Philippines, Computing Society of the Philippines, and the Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines.


Beyond his university role, Dr. Reyes significantly contributes to the broader scientific community. He serves as a Permanent Representative for the Metropolitan Manila Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium, and a member of the Fairness Opinion Board of DOST - National Capital Region. Additionally, he serves on the Philippines' Commission on Higher Education's Evaluation and Accreditation Committee, lends his expertise as a research reviewer, and participates on Technical Committees for various local and international publications.
