Passionate about higher education... focused on quality assurance, internationalisation and innovation

I am a  Political Scientist with a master's degree in political science and a master's degree in international cooperation and development. I´ve also had the opportunity to continue my training process through different academic activities and specialized courses, where I highlight having been alumni of the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) fostered by the  United States government, and the Emerging Leaders Program in the Americas ( ELAP) developed by the  Government of Canada.

I have experience and relevant work in quality assurance, management and internationalization of higher education for more than 15 years. During my professional experience I have had the opportunity to work in public and private settings, building a career that includes the analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of public policies in higher education, in recognized public organizations such as the National Accreditation Council of Colombia, COLCIENCIAS (now Minciencias) and the Ministry of National Education of Colombia. Likewise, in the private sphere I have worked as an advisor, director of internationalization, dean and more recently as Vice-Rector, in various universities in the Ibero-American area. I have also participated as a peer evaluator in various external evaluation scenarios.
