I am Provost at Massey University, New Zealand. A senior university executive in the Australasian higher education sector, I am skilled in research, policy analysis, strategic planning, learning and teaching, academic planning and quality assurance, in addition to curriculum development and research commercialisation. I bring academic credibility and personal authenticity to my work. With a commitment to advancing the agenda of equity, access and excellence in higher education, I am an advocate for the vital role played by universities in creating social, cultural and intellectual capital for public benefit and wellbeing. An internationally recognised historian, I have published widely on settler colonial and Indigenous histories. I have been a Fulbright Scholar and am a Director of Massey Ventures Limited, Massey University's research commercialisation company.
