Heba EL-Deghaidy is a Professor of Science Education and former Chair of the Department of Educational Studies at the American University in Cairo. She is a leading advocate for the STEAM education initiative, promoting its adoption as a global model for interdisciplinary learning. Dr. EL-Deghaidy earned her Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of Birmingham, UK. Her research and leadership span international and national projects, with a prolific publication record in prestigious international journals. Additionally, she has served as an external examiner for PhD theses across Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, the UAE, and other countries. EL-Deghaidy through her unwavering commitment to education continues to drive change and inspire others, making a profound impact on the field of science and STEM/STEAM education as she designed and presented the first MOOC in Arabic.
