Dr. Helen L. Boholano is an esteemed educator and researcher recognized for her contributions to the field of education. With a robust academic background, Dr. Boholano has made significant strides in early childhood education, curriculum development, and teacher training. DR. HELEN B. BOHOLANO, an experienced educator with 27 years of service and
currently Professor VI at Cebu Normal University, holds a doctorate in
Administration and Supervision (2007) and a Master of Arts in Education major
in Administration and Supervision (2003). A Magna Cum Laude graduate in
Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics (1994), she also completed
her Master of Arts in Education major in Special Education in 2009. Engaging in
international initiatives like the Certificate Program in Application of Multimedia
Technology for E-Education in Japan (2007) and ICT4E trainings, she is
certified as a Cisco Instructor from De La Salle University, Manila.
Dr. Boholano is distinguished for her research
contributions published in international journals and presentations globally.
Dedicated to education, her advocacy focuses on reaching children in deprived
areas, evident in her authored books for Senior High School and Professional
Education courses. A resource speaker, national reviewer/lecturer, and
recipient of research grants from DepEd and CHED, she led the CHED RECPE grant
on flexible learning modalities and coordinated the CHED IAS grant for
developing global Filipino teachers. Currently, she serves as the Regional
Chair of SUCTEA in region 7 and an Online Flexible Tutor/Trainer for the
SEAMEO-INNOTECH GURO 21 project since 2015. Dr. Boholano's commitment extends
to her role as a visiting professor at Universitas Andalas, Padang Indonesia,
in May 2023, reflecting her vast experience as the former dean of the College
of Teacher Education, an Accreditor of AACCUP, and a dedicated educator
contributing to the SEAMEO-INNOTECH project. Currently, she is the Project
leader of an international training grant from UNESCO Jakarta for capacitating
the ALS Teachers in region VII.
