Dr. Husein Bani Issa is the Acting Dean of the College of Law at Applied Science University- Kingdom of Bahrain. He is a highly respected legal scholar and administrator with over 26 years of experience in legal education. He first joined the faculty of the Applied Science College of Law in 2008. He is an Associate Professor of Criminal Law. He has served in various leadership positions during his tenure, including Vice Dean of the College of Law and Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit. 

He was awarded the SHEA Fellowship in 2019 and the HEA Fellowship in 2016, both of which contributed positively to delivering a world-class teaching and learning experience for students. 

Besides academia, Dr. Husein Bani Issa enjoyed a distinguished career as a lawyer, specializing in criminal cases. He has been a member of the Jordanian Bar Association since 2003. 

In addition, as head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, he gained extensive experience designing and re-designing programs and courses, helping his college achieve full confidence from the BQA and successfully placing it on the NQF. 

Dr. Husein Bani Issa earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Council of Koretsky Institute of State and Law, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1998), where he specialized in Criminal Law, Criminology, and Criminal Executive Law. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Mechnikov State University of Odessa, Ukraine (1998), and a Bachelor of Law degree from Mutah University, Jordan (1992). 

Throughout his career, Dr. Husein Bani Issa has been a prolific scholar, authoring numerous books and articles on various legal topics. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer and on the editorial boards of several prestigious law journals. 

As Acting Dean, Dr. Husein Bani Issa is dedicated to enhancing the academic rigor and reputation of the College of Law. He has initiated several curricular reforms to better prepare students for the evolving legal landscape, including the launch of new programs and innovative educational pathways in the legal field. Dr. Bani Issa is committed to upholding the College of Law's tradition of excellence in legal education while driving innovations that will ensure the College's long-term success.
