As the President of Gordon College, my role is multifaceted, encompassing strategic leadership, academic oversight, and community engagement. I lead efforts to set and achieve long-term goals, ensure financial sustainability, and foster an inclusive campus environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership: Spearhead developing and implementing the college’s strategic plan, aligning it with its vision and mission. This involves identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth and innovation while maintaining the college's core values.
Academic Excellence: Oversee academic programs to ensure they meet high standards of quality and relevance. This includes supporting faculty development, promoting research, and enhancing the overall academic experience for students.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the college’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. You work on fundraising initiatives, including building relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders to secure financial support for scholarships, facilities, and other key areas.
Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between the college and the broader community, fostering partnerships that enhance educational opportunities and community development. You engage with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to create a cohesive and supportive campus culture.
