An award-winning, passionate and committed educator with more than 20 years of professional and lecturing experiences in public universities and private higher education institutions in Singapore, China and Vietnam, James specializes in teaching, finance, accounting, management, and corporate governance at professional, undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at SP Jain School of Global Management and has been an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Department of Banking and Finance at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore since 2016. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Wuhan University of Technology.

He is well-versed in contemporary approaches to curriculum development, teaching pedagogies, blended learning, and transnational higher education trends. His research interests include blended learning, educational assessment, learning and teaching, and academic burnout.

He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia, and eight master degrees in business administration, investment and finance, positive psychology and coaching psychology, higher education research, digital education, marketing, and educational assessment. I am a fellow member of several accountancy bodies in Singapore, Australia and the UK.
