Dr. Malay Jhancy started her medical journey in 1991 when she graduated from a government medical college in India. She then specialized in anesthesia and worked as an anesthetist in private hospitals for five years. In 1999, she began working for the government and provided medical care in tribal areas for three years. She then transitioned into teaching, becoming a lecturer in physiology and later in anesthesiology at various medical colleges. In 2007, she shifted her focus to pediatrics, becoming a tutor and resident in the Pediatrics Department and earned her MD degree in Pediatrics. From 2010 to 2016, she worked as an assistant professor in pediatrics, playing a significant role in teaching medical students. During this period, she was involved in training programs of UNICEF, namely F-IMNCI, FBNC, and she trained medical officers and nurses in India in programs related to child and newborn healthcare. In 2016, she joined RAK College of Medical Sciences as an associate professor in pediatrics. She enhanced her professional development by obtaining a Joint Master in Medical Professions Education from FAIMER & Gulf Medical University, UAE. Currently, she holds the position of professor in pediatrics at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University in the United Arab Emirates. She published nearly 30 papers in reputed journals and a book chapter. She is committed to healthcare, research and medical education, making a meaningful impact on the lives of both patients and future medical professionals.
