He is currently the Head of the Secretariat of the Pangandoy sa Hiraya: The Futures-Thinking Consortium of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Eastern Visayas. At BiPSU, he heads the Institutional Planning Office and the Strategic Innovation and Knowledge Laboratory (SIKLAB) while concurrently serving as the Executive Assistant to the University President.

He completed the Certificate Course for Futures-Thinking offered by the Development Academy of the Philippines – GSPDM, a course certificate on Introduction to Futures-Thinking by the Institute for the Futures, a California-based organization, and Futures Masterclass: Foresight to Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Executive Education, National University of Singapore. Three of his future-thinking research papers are now for publication, particularly on smart campus development, scenario development, and future research.

He was also a Fulbright scholar at Skyline College, California, USA, from 2019 to 2020.

Last year, he was named the Regional Winner of the CSC Search for Outstanding Government Worker (Pagasa Category) and the National Semi-Finalist of the Honor Awards Program (HAP), the highest award given to civil servants.

He has a degree in Education, majoring in English (Magna cum Laude), a Master of Public Management at the Development Academy of the Philippines (Class Valedictorian) & recipient of DAP’s Leadership Award. He is now finishing his Juris Doctor in hopes of becoming a better public servant.

In terms of consultancy work, he is an assessor of the Philippine Quality Award (PQA), the highest national quality award for Total Quality Management in the country, and a Consultant of the DOST regarding their implementation of Harmonized Technical Consultancy Services, particularly in Quality Management.

Recently, he became a full-fledged member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF) and earned a scholarship to study under world-renowned futurists in the Metafutures.
