Dr. Chee Ken Nee has over 12 years of experience as a secondary school teacher with a PhD in Educational Technology from the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia. He was selected as one of the Top 30 'Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts' in Malaysia in 2020. Previously, he worked in a high-performing secondary school as a teacher and was later promoted to Assistant Director in the Educational Technology and Resources Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia. Therefore, he understands many issues that exist in the education industry. Currently, he is a lecturer at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. He is also a registered Technologist under the Malaysian Board of Technologists with the title of Ts. Additionally, he is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has published 20 quality research papers with ISI and Scopus indexing. His research interests lie in mobile learning, educational technology, computer-based learning, as well as designing and developing mobile learning environments and applications. He is also interested in studying how technology can influence students in various aspects. Innovations in teaching and learning have recently caught his attention, especially in this era of the pandemic. His research h-index is 9 with 500 citations in just 8 years. Humbly, he is one of the winners of the Global Teacher Award 2020. He is also a reviewer for many ISI and Scopus indexed journals. He has served as a judge for prestigious innovation competitions at international and national levels, such as the QS Reimagine Education in the United Kingdom. Previously, he has been a speaker at prestigious virtual international conferences in the United States, as a keynote speaker in Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Austria, and as an invited lecturer in Thailand. Recently, the Virtual Reality Teaching Training (VIRTT), has been recognized as 'The Edtech Awards - Educator Trendsetter Finalist 2023,' which is the largest and most renowned competition held in the United States. Furthermore, it had been selected as finalist under category of Enhancing Teaching and Learning Quality 2023 in Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Education in USA as well.
