Luis F. is an Industrial Physics Engineer, Master in Applied Statistics and PhD in Engineering Sciences from Tecnológico de Monterrey. During his doctoral studies, he did a research stay at AT&T Research Laboratories in New Jersey, USA, focused on the design and implementation of metaheuristics to solve optimization problems in telecommunications, logistics and warehousing. 

He has taught courses and professional workshops inside and outside Tecnológico de Monterrey, specializing in teaching Mathematics, Statistics, Technology Validation, and AI in Education. In addition, he has worked in different Mexican companies coordinating areas of Continuous Improvement, Organizational Development, Treasury, Human Resources, Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence. 

Luis Fernando is currently the leader of the IFE Living Lab, where he leads technology-based research and development calls, validation studies for EdTech companies and startups, the development of IFE's Experiential Classroom project, and the coordination of the EdTech Marketplace. His research interests focus on educational innovation, multimodal learning analytics, AI in education, and the use of technologies in higher education.
