Dr. Lydia C.
King is formerly First Vice President and Head of Information Technology of BANCO
DE ORO UNIVERSAL BANK, the Banking arm of the SM Group of Companies, where
she has served in various senior management capacities for 24 years. Her
portfolio includes principally the organization and management of IT Groups of
various banking institutions in the Philippines.
Dr. King was
formerly the President of the BANKERS INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINE for FY
2008-2009 which in 1987 bestowed on her the Pearl Award, the highest
professional award given to a member of the Institute signifying the true mark
of a professional banker. In 2009, she was also presented the Leadership and
Life Sustaining Membership Awards by the Institute.
Dr. King
finished her Post Graduate Studies with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in
Organizational Development at the SOUTHEAST ASIA INTERDISCIPLINARY
DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE. She has an MBA from the ATENEO GRADUATE SCHOOL OF
BUSINESS and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from
the UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES.
She was formerly the Cluster Chair for Information Technology, Consultant for Online Learning and currently a Faculty of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business for more than 20 years. She is also currently Vice President for Academics, Chief Information Officer and Department Head for Technology Management at Enderun Colleges, part-time Faculty at the School of Management and Information Technology, De la Salle School of St. Benilde and Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management.
