Her passion for combining teaching and research is exemplified in her co-authored book How Learning Works, which has been translated into seven languages and is now in its second edition. A theme running throughout Lovett’s work is leveraging data – from learning science research and in-course learning experiences – to improve student outcomes. Aligned with that theme, her personal mantra is "iterative improvement!"
