Academic Vicerector
Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina

My purpose is to contribute to human development through education, empowered by technology, and to promote digital humanism as a fundamental competence in an environment permeated by artificial intelligence. I am convinced that education is the main driver for individual and collective progress and that technology is a tool that expands its reach and impact. Driven by this conviction, over 20 years ago, I made the commitment to work tirelessly for the construction of an equitable, educated, and inclusive Colombia, starting from the regions.

I have contributed to the strengthening of social programs such as Computadores para Educar (Computers for Education), which has impact indicators on children and young people in Colombia. In my role as Manager of the National Decennial Education Plan 2016-2026, I supported the promotion of guidelines for the strengthening of the Colombian education system. As National Academic Vice-Rector, teacher, and researcher at Areandina, I seek to strengthen the learning process of students through disruptive and dynamic pedagogical models that foster comprehensive training and allow them to successfully take advantage of the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. Likewise, I have supported the institution's multi-campus high-quality accreditation process

I have a doctorate in Education from NovaSoutheastern University in the United States, an economist with a master's degree in Telecommunications Management from the Strathclyde University in Scotland and with specializations in Project Management from the University of Los Andes in Colombia and Virtual Learning Environments.
