Assistant Dean at Arts University Plymouth supporting the academic & operational leadership of undergraduate courses at Arts University Plymouth, driving pedagogic innovation and supporting subject specialisms in Design.

Following a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and MA in Visual Culture from Bath Spa University, I have worked in Higher Education for 25 years. With a move to the South West of England I began working at Arts University Plymouth (formerly Plymouth College of Art) in 2004 - starting initially as a lecturer, then BA(Hons) Illustration course leader before my current role as Assistant Dean & Principal Lecturer.


Pedagogic research is focused on play and the role of curiosity in creative learning and I am the research convenor of Arts University Plymouth's Making Learning research group. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures & Commerce Fellow (FRSA) and is an Arts University Plymouth Teaching Fellow.
