Muhammad Zahid
(Ph.D.) is currently working as a Professor and Dean of Management Sciences, at
Bahria Business School, Bahria University, Pakistan. He obtained his Postdoctoral
Fellowship from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and Ph.D. in Management from
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia, and his Postdoctorate from Universiti
Malaysia Kelantan. He received his MS in Management and Master of Commerce
degrees from Pakistan earlier. After completing a master's degree, he served the
banking industry for 08 years as a branch and customer services manager. His
area of concentration is corporate sustainability and financial performance. He
has published two books in the area of sustainability and numerous research
papers in indexed journals. For his outstanding research work, he has been awarded
"The Award for Excellence- 2016 Outstanding Journal Papers from Emerald
Group Publishing" and the Best Paper Award (2014) in the International
Symposium on Research in Innovation and Sustainability 2014 (ISoRIS' 14) 15-16
October 2014, Malacca, Malaysia. Moreover, he holds experience in editorship
and is an invited reviewer of well-reputed journals in the fields of
management, corporate sustainability, corporate governance and finance, gender
in management, financial performance, sustainable development goals, and
education for sustainable development. He has also supervised more than 30
research students and worked on several research grants in the aforementioned
areas with the academic institutes of Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. He also
has expertise in working with regulatory bodies such as the Pakistan Stock Exchange
(PSX) in designing sustainability guidelines and reports in the business and
academic domains (Impact Ranking).
