Prof. Mullaicharam is a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at

the College of Pharmacy, National University of Science & Technology, Muscat, Sultanate of

Oman.

Prof. Mullaicharam brings an enriched experience of nearly three decades in the pharmaceutical

education, research, and quality assurance domain and has received awards at the national and

international levels.

She received many research project grants from India (HRD, AICTE) and Oman, (FRG-

MoHERI, NRG-NU) Oman has 10 international patents (5 Australian, 4 German, 1 Indian)

8 patents which represent a breakthrough in pharmaceutical formulations, and 2 patents in the

field of artificial intelligence in medical imaging.

She published more than 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and several book

chapters published by Nova Publishers USA and authored many pharmacy textbooks. She is the

lead editor of the book ‘Artificial Intelligence in Pharmaceutical Sciences’ published by the

Taylor and Francis group of publications, 2023, USA.

She is an external examiner for Ph.D. theses of various universities, and a reviewer/editorial member of many peer-reviewed Journals, and

presented many research papers at various conferences held in India, the UK, Italy, the USA,

Oman, and UAE. She organized many seminars and conferences in India and Oman.

She is the reviewer of the funded projects of MoHERI, Sultanate of Oman. She is the external

reviewer of the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority, Sultanate of Oman. She performed as

an evaluator of international educational projects in the QS Reimagine Education Awards, UK,

2023. She is a Registered Pharmacist, in India and a life member of professional bodies of India

 and Oman.
