Naima Al-husban, an associate professor at Arab Open University-Jordan, holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Jordan. Her academic pursuits primarily focus on international projects in education, particularly those addressing the needs of female refugees, and the empowerment of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers working with refugee populations. Notably, she has played a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of plans for ten projects within the HOPES initiative, funded by the EU. Additionally, she assumed the position of coordinator for a project sponsored by the British Council, dedicated to teaching English to youth refugees.

Her research interests extend to diverse topics such as English as a foreign language for vulnerable groups with psychosocial disorder, global citizenship education, and education in emergency.
