Nicole Welsh holds an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Learning, Instruction and Innovation. She has served as an instructional development coordinator and lead curriculum development specialist at two higher education institutions. Her other roles included course developer, coordinator, instructor, examiner and visiting professor. She has also worked as an educational consultant for a national training agency and the Commonwealth of Learning and facilitated courses on digital literacy and designing, developing and teaching online (DTOC).
In 2020, she presented at three online MoodleMoots (India, Global and US) and facilitated several workshops for teachers and students focused on preparing for remote delivery and online open-book assessments. Nicole has also presented at the 2019 and 2022 Pan-Commonwealth Forums on Open Learning. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Education. In 2024, she is excited to be on the judging panel on a third occasion for the QS Reimagine Education Awards, the world’s most extensive awards program for innovative pedagogies.
