I have worked in the tertiary education sector for the past 14 years. I completed my PhD in Marketing, more specifically consumer behaviour, in 2016. I have taught on various large cohort undergraduate courses and in the postgraduate education space, supervising MBA research theses and coordinating and lecturing on professional Masters courses. For the past 3 years, I have been involved in an innovative second year University of Auckland Business School core undergraduate course for which I am now the Course Director. I also still teach postgraduate students, in courses such as consumer behaviour, marketing research, and digital branding and advertising. I was also involved in the recently established Master of Business Analytics where I organised the applied student-industry projects. For the past 18 monhts, I have also acted as Mentor on the global Future 17 Programme.
My approach as an educator is to inspire and empower students. I love getting to know my students (even in courses with hundreds of students) and helping them grow professionally, academically, and personally. I believe that every student can succeed if given the right tools, guidance and support.
