I have 28 years of experience in educational leadership and policymaking including 10 years of working experience with ADB. I hold a Ph.D. in Entomology, Zoology. My areas of expertise are implementing policies, developing training modules, programs, methods, training materials such as- presentations, handouts, exercises, etc, and dealing with TA supervising unit, both private and public clients and conducting monitoring and evaluation of training programs. Over 12 years, I've led gender-sensitive initiatives, advocating for equality, equity, gender mainstreaming, gender disparity, combating early marriage, and empowering marginalized students and people of ethnic minorities through workshops. I'm committed to advancing gender perspectives and inclusive practices for transformative education.
I am a member of Bangladesh Civil Service
(BCS) General Education Cadre since 1996. At present, I am Professor of Zoology
and working as Deputy Director of Directorate of Inspection & Audit (DIA)
under Ministry of Education, Bangladesh. The major role and responsibilities of
this organizations are - Regular Audit and Inspection of govt./non-govt.
educational institutions (no. of total institutions:36750) including general
secondary level school, college, vocational and technical institutions.
Have 8 years working experiences on Teaching
Quality Improvement in Secondary Education Project (jointly funded by govt. and
ADB) as an Assistant Project Director (Policy, Planning & Monitoring) from
2012 to 2019 and also assigned as Gender Focal Point and Resource Person of
Inclusive Education (IE).
I have conducted so many awareness building
workshops on Gender & IE, with the stakeholders. Have experiences of quarterly/biennial
on Safeguards, GAP, DMF, Loan Covenant, RPR, PCR for Govt. and for ADB. Conducted Scholarship / Incentive
program for teachers especially for the underserved areas. Developed modality for conducting Remedial Measures for
the lagging behind students of underserved areas. Have experiences as a manual
writer in Inclusive Education, Science, Biology, Leadership, Management etc.
for CPD, Leadership and Management training of teachers, institute head and
SMC.
Have strong background on Advanced ICT and Pedagogical
aspects. Have 4 years working experiences in National Curriculum and Textbook
Board, Dhaka and 7 years Teaching
experiences at Jaggannath University in Zoology (Entomology). Awarded PhD in Entomology (2010) from Institute of
Biological Sciences (IBSc), Rajshahi Univetsity, Bangladesh.
