Syakirah earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Since 2013, she has been a committed English Language Teacher at the English Language Unit of the Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development (FBI) at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). Her broad teaching experience covers various courses such as General English, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and Professional Workplace Communication, showcasing her diverse expertise in English language education.
Throughout her career, Syakirah has shown a strong commitment to educational innovation. Her groundbreaking work has earned recognition through multiple awards in both national and international innovation competitions since 2018. These honours highlight her ability to merge pedagogical theory with practical application, significantly enhancing the learning experiences of her students.
Syakirah's main research interests include blended learning, mobile learning, alternative assessment methods, and effective English language teaching strategies. Her research is centred on integrating technology with traditional teaching methods to create more engaging and efficient learning environments. Her practical and research efforts seek to tackle current challenges in language education, making learning more accessible and impactful.
Beyond her academic and professional roles, Syakirah is deeply committed to serving the community.
