
Beverly Banaken Laltoog is a university professor at the University of Baguio, School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts.
Beverly Banaken Laltoog earned her Juris Doctor (Non-Thesis), Master in Public Administration, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with education units) from the University of Baguio, and is a licensed professional teacher with a specialization in Social Studies. She also completed a short course on Research Leadership at De La Salle University.
Prof. Laltoog’s scholarly work has been
recognized both locally and internationally. She was awarded Best Paper Presenter at the 4th and 6th
IPOPHL-DLSU Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Conferences (2023 and
2025), where her research was lauded for its originality and socio-cultural
relevance. In 2024, she was nominated for the 6th International History Award of the Premio Órdenes Españolas
at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Spain—an esteemed recognition for scholars
contributing to the study of history related to Spain’s global influence and
heritage.
She was also selected as a Judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards and
Conference 2024 in London, UK, where she evaluated pioneering
innovations in education across the globe—demonstrating her growing influence
in the international academic community. Her leadership and scholarship also
shaped several World University Rankings
for Innovation (WURI) entries, which spotlighted initiatives that
promote indigenous knowledge appreciation, inclusive education, and peacebuilding through
higher education.
Beyond research and instruction, Prof. Laltoog
contributes significantly to academic publishing as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals,
including the Journal of Humanities and
Social Science (HSS) under the Science Publishing Group and the International Review of Social Science Research,
where she provides critical evaluations to maintain research quality and
integrity in the humanities and social sciences.
Her notable publications include Og-Ogbo: An Indigenous Sense of Community, Support System of Transnational Families, and Empowering Indigenous Communities: The Pursuit of Quality Education and Peaceful Societies among others.
She also served as lead author of the Cordillera
Heritage 101 Book – Baguio City Chapter, contributing to regional
curriculum development and cultural preservation.
Prof. Laltoog is an active member of professional and civic organizations such as the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCoRE) and the Philippine Association for the Study of Culture, History, and Religion (PASCHR).
With her extensive
speaking engagements, publication record, and service to education, she
continues to inspire transformative scholarship rooted in culture, community,
and academic excellence.
