Dr. Lud-ayen boasts an extensive academic background, holding multiple degrees including a Ph.D. in Criminology (Cum Laude), a Ph.D. in Developmental Education, and an M.S. in Criminology, all from the University of Baguio. She also earned a B.S. in Criminology (Cum Laude) from the same institution and a B.S. in Secondary Education with a major in Social Science. Notably, she ranked 8th in the 2004 Criminologist Licensure Examinations and is pursuing doctoral studies in Public Administration.

She serves as the Regional Secretary for the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines - Cordillera chapter, Vice-Chairperson of the Council of Criminal Justice Educators-Cordillera (CCJE-CAR), and a Board Member for the World University Network of Innovators (WUNI) Leaders. She is also a member of the Asian Criminological Society, the International Association of Scientists and Researchers, and the Asian Qualitative Research Association.

She represented the Philippines at the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) in Seoul, Korea, for her leadership in crisis management and SDG-based responses. She has also served as a judge for the prestigious Reimagine Education Awards & Conference in London and Abu Dhabi. Her expertise in forensic science was recognized with the Forensic Science Excellence Award at the 15th IASR International Conference on Forensic Science in India, where she also chaired a session.
