I’m honoured to be selected as a judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025, a global platform that recognises innovation in education. As part of the judging panel, I’ll be reviewing impactful projects from around the world that promote excellence in teaching, learning, and educational technology. It's a proud moment to contribute to such a prestigious initiative.


Dr. Deepika Kohli is an outstanding Assistant Professor in Teacher Education and Dean Student Council with over sixteen years of experience at Khalsa College of Education, Amritsar, Punjab, India. She also serves as an Educational Consultant and Programme Leader at IBES, France.

She earned her Ph.D. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and has established herself as a leading curriculum developer, innovative pedagogue, and educational technologist. Her core focus is on promoting best educational practices, both within classroom settings and in global contexts.

Dr. Kohli has designed and implemented four MOOCs under the OE4BW (Open Education for a Better World) initiative by UNESCO, expanding access to AI-based learning techniques in schools and colleges. She also represented her work on MOOCs at the University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia, during an official visit in 2022.

She is a recipient of the “Best Researcher Award 2023–24” conferred by the Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar, in recognition of her outstanding research contributions and academic excellence.

Dr. Kohli is also a co-inventor of an educational innovation patent with Dr. Ramesh, and she holds a total of three patents that validate her ongoing commitment to creativity and innovation in teaching and learning.

She has served on editorial boards such as the Journal of Inclusive Educational Research, Interdisciplinary Journal of lifelong learning Nigeria and as a reviewer for journals like the Asian Journal of Distance Education. As India’s OERu Contact Person, she works closely with the Open Education Resource Foundation, New Zealand, and is an active member of the Creative Commons Global Network.

She has been invited to deliver expert talks and represent India on several international platforms. Notably, she was:

She is a life member of the Indian Association of Teacher Educators (IATE), CTPD India, the Council for Teacher Education (CTE), Punjab and Haryana chapter. She also volunteers in social sectors, including para-legal education, and is a permanent member of the District Court Amritsar Lok Adalat ( People's Court)

Dr. Kohli continues to mentor students and educators through various internship and fellowship programs and stands as a strong voice for inclusive, research-driven, and innovation-focused education.
