Dr. Éder Villalba is Director of the Master’s in Educational Technology at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he leads innovation in curriculum design, AI integration, and competency-based learning. With a Ph.D. in Educational Technology Innovation, he specializes in emerging technologies, learning analytics, and human-centered design. He is also an international judge for the Reimagine Education Awards and an active voice in shaping the future of digital education across Latin America.

Éder Villalba is a distinguished Professor of Education and Director of the Master’s in Educational Technology at the School of Humanities and Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in Innovation in Educational Technology from the Autonomous University of Querétaro, complemented by a background in International Relations and Humanistic Studies.

With a multidisciplinary approach and extensive expertise in integrating technology into education, Éder has led innovative strategies in areas such as Design Thinking, Creative Thinking, Educational Technology, and Competency-Based Education. His leadership in managing academic programs, mentoring students, and supporting faculty has been instrumental in upholding academic excellence and ensuring the success of the programs under his direction.

As a Regional Leader in Educational Innovation, Éder has spearheaded projects that promote meaningful learning through cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Additionally, he has played a significant role in the creation of massive open online courses (MOOCs), showcasing his dedication to democratizing access to quality education worldwide.
