Gringo Magbanua Jusa is an international education leader, curriculum specialist, and college counselor with over a decade of experience across Asia and the Middle East. He currently serves as Director of University Pathways at Forest City International School in Malaysia, where he leads strategic initiatives in academic advising, curriculum alignment, and technology-integrated learning. He coaches students during Genius Hour on how to harness AI to solve real-world problems, encouraging innovation and ethical use of emerging tools. In parallel, he has led workshops for educators on ethical prompt engineering, equipping teachers and counselors with strategies to enhance instruction and support through AI-powered practices.
Gringo holds a master’s degree in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology from Harvard University, where his research focused on equity-driven educational innovation and the ethical integration of AI in K–12 learning environments. He has led workshops on prompt engineering for educators and designed AI-enhanced tools that support college readiness, student advising, and inclusive instruction.
He is passionate about bridging emerging technologies with practical learning design and ensuring that innovation remains human-centered, accessible, and transformative. As a judge for QS Reimagine Education 2025, Gringo brings both classroom insight and policy-minded research to his evaluation of bold, scalable innovations.
