Associate Professor Liudmyla Omelchuk is an expert in AI-driven scheduling algorithms and software engineering with over 20 years of teaching and research experience. She has led interdisciplinary projects. In her current role as Assistant Vice-Rector at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, she coordinates digital transformation initiatives across the faculty.

Liudmyla Omelchuk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theory and Technology of Programming at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She earned her PhD (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences) in 2007 with a dissertation, and has been teaching and conducting research at the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics since 2005.

Her teaching portfolio spans undergraduate and graduate courses in object-oriented programming, software engineering, formal methods of specification, and programming technologies. She has supervised numerous student projects and is co-author of laboratory practical manuals on programming environments and object-oriented programming.

Dr. Omelchuk’s research focuses on formal methods for program development, constraint satisfaction algorithms, and the integration of stochastic heuristics in parallel scheduling systems. 

In addition to her academic roles, she serves as Assistant Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs, and is the programme guarantor for the Bachelor’s curriculum in Computer Science. Since 2021, she has been an expert for the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance in Ukraine. Dr. Omelchuk has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and her university for excellence in teaching and research, including awards for pedagogical achievements and contributions to educational quality.
